The way a line your grandfather underlined remains, in the margin he chose for it. The way your grandmother’s voice remains in the way you laugh. The way a phrase your mother taught you returns, unbidden, on a difficult day.
Two minutes, kept, become inheritance. The pearl you gather today will travel — to the people you love, into the children you will have, back through the ancestors whose words you have already begun to carry without knowing. We named the unit DNA.M for a reason. A small daily note. The size of a heartbeat. It moves the way DNA moves.
